There are so many things that I would like to speak about but the current even that I would like to speak about this time is the fires occurring in Australia. I’ve actually lived in Australia at some point in the suburban Brisbane area. It was a very nice community with many welcoming people and it hurts to see that the country is facing such impactful effects of global warming.
I’ve read that a portion of the fires have been started due to natural causes and drought, meaning that the wildfires are a direct effect of global warming, which is both unfortunate and concerning. Australia has many beautiful sights as I’ve seen in my past years, but the fact that the fires have caused such a harmful increase in smoke and pollution is not good for the country at all. As a vampire, it’s hard to be present in these situations because dying animals and people is just more blood for me to have for dinner, but I definitely try harder than other vampires to make sure that I don’t let anyone (that deserves it) die.
Seeing things like this occurring more and more around the world is very disheartening and makes me wonder why no one is doing anything more to stop anything. The world has been here for a long time and it is just weird to me that the people with money on this planet can make such a difference by contributing to causes against global warming but are simply not willing to spend their money on this cause.
As a constant traveler and explorer, it hurts to see the world falling apart over the stubbornness of mankind. This is why I’m a vampire. I hate humans. They never seem to care about the world even when they can make the largest of differences. I hope that people come together to fight problems like these. Every time I get a job, I chose to donate half of my money to causes that actually make a difference and would use the money for problems like this. That is also why I constantly relocate and have to find new places and lifestyles to learn from and learn to help in some way. As a vampire in today’s community, I feel suffocated by the way humans chose to deal with issues that are fightable, especially when they judge others based on actions that are purposeful and kind to causes that need it.
I’ve actually done quite some research and made many trips to places such as these that are harmed by fires and other natural causes. From my travels and research, I’ve noted that there are in fact several ways to contribute to these global issues. This particular issue of the fires in Australia can be combatted by donating to the Australian Red Cross and the Salvation Army Australia because these are heavily welcomed resources during times of need.

Hello. Josiah here. Seems to me like you are really having an internal struggle in deciding whether or not you should let the animals die by fire or save them, at the risk of your own life. I presume you are still in Australia since you are in this conundrum. As someone who is heavily involved in news and politics, I too agree that climate change is a growing issue. Where I live (Massachusetts, USA), our current President Donald Trump seems to think otherwise. I’ve also seen a large lack of support from the Australian prime minister. I understand where you are coming from when you say that you hate all humans because of many people not seemingly to care about world crisis’s. As a human, my opinion is admittedly somewhat biased, but I feel that is in unfair of you to judge my species as a whole just because of how many of those in power, act. I think it is very kind of you to donate so much money to charities and agree with you that it is ridiculous that people with money like Bezos donate hardly anything at all. He reportedly donated $690,000.. less than a tenth of a percent of his net worth.
When you say that you feel suffocated by the way humans judge others based on actions that are purposeful and kind, does this still apply to a situation like this? When a man of extreme wealth makes a donation for a good cause, but is blasted by the general public despite his actions for a good cause with good intention behind it.
I really respect how kind you are in donating so much of your money to charities for a good cause, but I can not help but wonder how vampires are different from us humans. What exactly is it about vampires that makes your species so great compared to ours? Are you all endlessly compassionate and have bountiful wealth which is shared to charities for a good cause?
I do apologize for how rude I may sound to you right now, but do understand that I have never seen a vampire before so I have no idea what you folk are like. It must be understandable to you for me to be so questioning.. because they way you portray it, vampires are some perfect species that have incredible compassion and are also cognizant of all of our world’s issues right now, such as global warming.
With that said, let it be clear that my intention is not to spite you, but to understand your species more. I want to know what it is about vampires that makes humans seem so despicable. After all, there could be fantastic notes to be taken from vampires that can benefit the human species.
In conclusion, I think it is amazing that you spend so much time working for good causes and I as well hope that people in power e.g. prime minister of Australia work with the people and see the need for taking action against climate change as soon as possible.

Signed,
Josiah Talbot

Hello, Leer here.

The fire in Australia is definitely one of the hottest recent events. This is a disaster for both humans and vampires. While most revile or blame the Australian government for its incompetence, few are calm enough to analyze the causes of the disaster. I think remediation is certainly necessary, but prevention needs to be better studied.

Bush fires are Australia’s biggest natural disaster. This has to do with the geography and complexity of the vegetation, which has been burning in Australia for thousands of years during the dry season. What started the bush fire? This is a complicated problem. Australia is a country that is familiar with bushfires and bushfire management, and the importance of fire management and its impact on ecosystem health has long been known to the indigenous people who have lived across the continent for tens of thousands of years. We all know that a fire needs three basic ingredients: fuel, heat, and oxygen – plus a source of ignition. The absence of any of these will not cause combustion. So, if you want to put out a fire, you have to be able to remove any one of these elements. Fuels such as vegetation burn fast but are weak, while wood fuels burn harder, making it harder to put out fires. When it comes to vegetation fuel, we have to mention the fuel load, which is obviously related to the severity of the fire. The more fuel, the worse the fire. In Australia, fire loads accumulate in different types of vegetation at different rates. In Western Australia, the Jarrah forest accumulates fuel at a rate of about 1-2 tons per hectare per year, while Karri forest accumulates about 3-4 tons per hectare per year. Bushfires are not caused by climate change, but they are exacerbated by the effects of global warming. The debate over the link between bushfires and climate change has become a political battle, but experts agree that climate change can explain the unprecedented nature of the current fire crisis. Notably, according to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, Australia experienced its hottest year on record in 2019, 1.5 degrees Celsius above average. The lack of rain and the low humidity of the forest soil helped to keep the fires growing. Australia has also experienced high temperatures and strong winds in recent months. An important factor in a fire is the effect of the wind. Usually, as long as the wind speed is lower than 12-15 km/h, the fire burns slowly. But higher than that, they would have a significant impact on the fire, and changes in wind speed could make fires more widespread.

All these indicate that the disaster is inextricably linked to human destruction and the natural environment. The best thing to do as a human being is to plan for problems like global warming as much as possible – but too often, for the sake of immediate benefit, we don’t think much about the consequences. Even vampires, treating the fire, can recognize the destruction of the disaster to the world, and human needs to reflect on their role before the disaster – not only as victims, but also as perpetrators.
