Introduction (Post #1)

Hi everyone! My name is Starr Fisch and I’m a new student. I’m constantly traveling around the world and have lived in an uncountable number of cities. The truth is that I am a vampire and I have to constantly move around so that I don’t compromise my identity. I am telling you all this upfront because I trust you and would like for you all to know me as much as I will get to know you. Every time I travel to a new place, it is to change my name and identity so that I cannot be tracked from the past and by the government.
I’ve been living for so many years now that I can no longer keep track of my age. It is just too hard to remember, especially after witnessing and seeing so much of the world for the past decades. I’ve been alive for hundreds of years and have seen how humans constantly change, from new technology to new trends rising. I was turned into a vampire by someone I trusted for a very long time. Little did I know, that they would betray me in such a serious way. Vampirism does not come easy and can bring an insane amount of misery and devastation to your life, especially when you have to watch loved ones pass away every decade or so. I hated being a vampire at first, but living as one for so long has taught me many things and I no longer hate it. In fact, I’ve learned to love it and appreciate the incredible opportunities that come with it. I take advantage of my immortality by traveling constantly, meeting new people, and trying new foods.
I love to blog and share my experiences, because it makes me feel alive (which I’m technically not). I’ve made a lot of friends as a wanderer, but have also made numerous enemies who reside all over the world. I didn’t do anything to them. They only hate me, because I am living a better life than them. My enemies are simply vampires who haven’t learned how to survive as a happy vampire.
People think that I’m allergic to garlic, and it’s true, but only because I have an allergy to it. Other vampires are generally not allergic to it. My family was a very normal group of people and they never knew who I really was. I did not want them to fear me or have to deal with my tendencies and need for blood. I faked my death as a teenager and moved far away from them so that they would never find me. I still check up on my current day family members and often visit them as a teacher or someone they wouldn’t expect to be related to.
Overall, being a vampire is hard, but I make it work. I love visiting the world and being able to see how humans have changed over time because it reminds me of how progressive this world can be.
